Sacha Baron Cohen drew actor kudos for "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan," and Cate Blanchett took the supporting actress nod for "Notes on a Scandal."

Jennifer Baichwal's visually stunning "Manufactured Landscapes" beat "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Deliver Us From Evil" to take the prize for documentary and Canadian film, beating "The Journals of Knud Rasmussen," "Monkey Warfare" and "Six Figures."

Animated feature gong went to "Happy Feet," directed by George Miller. Jason Reitman's "Thank You for Smoking" took first feature, "L'Enfant" foreign-language film.

Documaker Allan King won the Clyde Gilmour Award, and the Toronto Film Critics Assn. paid tribute to entertainment journalist Sid Adilman, who passed away in October.
